From an emergency 911 call, through testing, treatment and recovery, the health-care short-staffing crisis impacts patients and workers alike. Alberta’s health-care professionals are there for all of us when we need them, but there simply aren't enough of us to keep up.

Short staffing has meant years of mandatory overtime and covering extra shifts. It’s reached a crisis point. Workers are burnt out and exhausted, but still going above and beyond for their patients. But they need help so they can help you.

The Alberta government has ignored the problem for years. If we want to improve health care in Alberta, we have to solve the short-staffing crisis first.
